Lestercast have achieved their Cyber Essentials Certificate and are proud to display the badge on the website.
Cyber Essentials and GDPR are the buzz-words at the moment. The certification is a Government-backed, industry-supported scheme to help organisations of any size and function to protect themselves against common cyber-attacks.
With GDPR – the data protection enforcement regulation about to become officially implemented in May 2018, it appears more and more critical to streamline and strengthen all aspects of data management and processing.
According to the UK Government, up to 80% of cyber-attacks could be prevented if organisations put simple cyber security controls in place.
The scheme identifies fundamental security controls that organisations should have in place to secure themselves against common cyber threats.
A simple virus could potentially result in loss of company and client data, disrupt your cash flow and take up staff time in putting things right. An attack could also put off your customers, stop you trading and damage your business’ reputation. Loss or mishandling data could breach the Data Protection Act and lead to fines or prosecution.
Therefore with all this in mind relating to GDPR and Cyber Essentials it is only natural to ensure that your business is protected against any potential data breach and cyber threat.
