Lestercast manufactures high integrity, ferrous and non-ferrous, precision, investment castings for the automotive, motorsport, marine, medical, aerospace, and rail industries, just to name a few. We produce over 1 million parts annually for 170 different global companies using over 100 metal specifications, across 20 different industry sectors.

Job Description;

To support the Sales and Marketing team and develop & maintain close relationships with new and existing customers. To prepare accurate and comprehensive quotes for customers and projects.

 

Main duties include:

  • Assessing feasibility of new enquiries, and estimate the costs associated with new jobs.
  • Prepare accurate and comprehensive quotations from customer enquiries.
  • Demonstrate practical experience in sourcing parts and materials and gain quotations from suppliers, e.g., toolmakers and machinists.
  • Follow up quotations and obtain feedback.
  • Follow up new leads
  • Skilfully interpret technical drawings and understand Bill of Materials.
  • Undertake visits to new and existing customers (worldwide).
  • Attend exhibitions and conferences (in the UK & abroad) to promote the brand portfolio.
  • Provide technical advice & support.

 

The ideal candidate will have the following experience /qualifications:

  • At least 3 years’ experience of working in a technical sales role.
  • Technical Engineering qualification to HND level desirable
  • Previous experience in preparing quotes, including buying parts and materials.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and understand BOM’s.
  • Experience using a CRM system desirable.
  • Strong networking skills.
  • A team player with a proactive approach, excellent presentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and suppliers.
  • Competency with Microsoft office suite essential.
  • Full driving licence required.
