Demand for Rapid Prototyping Continues to Grow… So, We’ve Invested Again!
Following the success of our existing state-of-the-art 3D Wax Pattern Printer, we’re delighted to announce the arrival of a second machine at Lestercast!
Over the past year, our rapid prototyping department has seen significant growth, supporting customers across motorsport, automotive, oil & gas, power generation, medical equipment and many other sectors. As more manufacturers look to reduce development times and bring products to market faster, demand for our rapid casting services has continued to increase.
To ensure we maintain the short lead times, flexibility and responsiveness our customers rely on, we have invested in additional 3D wax printing capacity.
The new printer will enable us to:
- Increase production capacity
- Further reduce lead times
- Support larger prototype and development programmes
- Improve flexibility for urgent projects
- Meet growing customer demand
By combining advanced 3D wax printing technology with our precision investment casting expertise, we can produce fully functional metal castings directly from CAD data without the need for hard tooling. This allows our customers to test, validate and refine designs faster while reducing development costs.
Having been one of the first UK investment casting foundries to adopt 3D printing technology over 25 years ago, we continue to invest in the latest manufacturing technologies to ensure our customers benefit from faster turnaround times, greater design freedom and industry-leading casting quality.
