Shane has spent the last three months at Lestercast working in the Wax Room, Foundry and Metrology Lab. Here, he has gained great experience of the whole investment casting process, including how to use our internal calibration system and learning about inspection.

‘I have really enjoyed working for Lestercast and they have welcomed me as a valuable member of the team. It has been a great experience, especially, working in the metrology lab where I have gained so much knowledge. This will be so beneficial for my future studies, and in my career going forward. I particularly enjoyed working alongside the metrology technicians and understanding how they calibrate parts to be within tolerances, as well as how to use CNC code to semi-automate the measuring process’.
