Today, we have welcomed a new apprentice, Hayden Roper to the team! Hayden will be joining the Level 3 Mechatronics programme at the MTC, Anstey Park in Coventry where he will be trained for 4 years. The course will provide Hayden with the skills to support Chris Strong (our Maintenance Engineer) with the maintenance across the whole site.

The programme will provide skills development in areas such as electrical/mechanical engineering, robotics, PLC’s and pneumatics. The first 9-12 months of the programme will be based full time at MTC Training, followed by three years mix of on-site workplace experience and the MTC Coventry.

• Year 1  –  EAL Level 2 Foundational Competence qualification and also starting EAL Level 3 Knowledge qualification
• Year 2  –  Finish EAL Level 3 Knowledge Qualification on block release
• Years 2, 3 and 4  –  Completion of EAL Level 3 Development Competence qualification before moving onto End Point Assessment and Apprenticeship completion.
