Lestercast are reaping the benefits of their newly confirmed membership of the leading trade association for UK foundries, The Cast Metals Federation (CMF) as they are marked as the newest Foundry Member of the Federation.
With enormous potential for networking and interacting with like-minded people in the casting industry at a multitude of events together with the services and training it offers to manufacturing firms such as ourselves the membership can only be of a positive influence to our business development.
The CMF is an organisation which consists of casting companies accounting for over 85% of UK castings. Lestercast place huge importance on being at the forefront of the industry with developments, news and information affecting our sector and the membership will ensure that this remains at the forefront of everything we do.
CMF Chief Executive, Dr Pam Murrell FICME, said: “The UK investment casting sector is a very important part of our industry and produces a significant portion of the global output for a wide range of sectors – with growth globally reportedly being around 8% last year, and upturns in most sectors supplied by the industry. Lestercast has invested significantly in people and equipment recently and we look forward to working with them.”
CMF is a main point of contact for manufacturers across the world seeking the ‘Best of British Casting’ whether sourcing castings for all applications or general information. Members are represented at national and international level and can tap into a whole host of services to help broaden their commercial performance.
