Lestercast Kudos Award Winner
Congratulations to our latest Kudos Award winner, Chris Strong, Maintenance Engineer.
Chris received several nominations across multiple categories this quarter, reflecting the significant impact he has throughout the business. While each nomination highlighted different qualities, a common theme quickly emerged – Chris is the person people know they can rely on.
The nomination that stood out most was in the “Above and Beyond” category, recognising the dedication and commitment Chris demonstrates every single day. Whether he is repairing equipment, responding to breakdowns, supporting contractors, investigating issues, or helping colleagues solve problems, Chris consistently goes the extra mile to keep the site running safely and efficiently.
Maintenance is often one of those roles that only becomes visible when something goes wrong, but Chris’s contribution is frequently the opposite. Many of the issues he deals with are resolved before they ever become a problem for anyone else. His ability to identify faults early, find practical solutions and quietly get on with the job means that much of his hard work happens behind the scenes.
His nominations described someone who is willing to get stuck in wherever needed, whether that means working outdoors in challenging weather conditions, supporting weekend work, assisting with contractor activities or spending extra time tracking down a fault until the issue is resolved. Colleagues spoke about the pride he takes in his work, his determination to find solutions and the positive attitude he brings to every task.
Beyond his technical skills, Chris was recognised for the way he supports the people around him. He is approachable, knowledgeable and always willing to help, no matter how busy he is. Whether someone needs advice, practical assistance or simply another pair of hands, Chris makes time for them. It is this combination of technical expertise, commitment and teamwork that makes him such a valued member of the Lestercast family.
The Kudos Award exists to recognise colleagues who make a positive difference, and Chris is a fantastic example of exactly that. His hard work, dedication, and willingness to support others do not go unnoticed, and the number of nominations he received this quarter is a reflection of the respect and appreciation he has earned from his colleagues.
