We, at Lestercast, are delighted to have had a photograph shortlisted to win in this year’s EEF Manufacturing Photography Competition.
The theme for this year’s competition, run by the EEF (Engineering Employers Federation – the manufacturers’ organisation) is ‘Celebrating Everyday Manufacturing’ and where best to showcase our manufacturing capabilities but in the eye of the creative through encouraging amateur and professional photography.
The Competition Itself
The idea is to enable photographers of any expertise level into manufacturing environments to deliver images of potential ‘art’ within the foundry setting.
Joel Morgan, a self-taught photographer with a passion for engineering has entered the competition with images from around the Lestercast facility having spent a day on the premises, a small selection of which are below:-
“It was a privilege to photograph traditional methods and techniques of casting alongside the latest cutting edge technologies. It really was a pleasure to try and capture through photography, all the passion and skilled work Lestercast do and to promote it through this competition.”

The winner will be announced on 20th November and we wish all contestants the best of luck.
