Lestercast Congratulate John Gask on his Retirement

Category: Staff News

John began his career with Lestercast Ltd in 2006, joining the inspection department as an inspector. This marked a significant period in the company’s history, as Lestercast was entering an exciting new era of growth. With the establishment of a strategic partnership with an overseas foundry, the business was expanding into global markets and began producing a wider variety of new parts. To meet this increasing demand, the UK facility underwent substantial development, including the purchase of additional buildings to boost production capacity.

Recognising John’s skills and commitment early on, he was soon promoted to Supervisor. In this role, he was entrusted with overseeing the development and expansion of the inspection facility. He successfully managed a team of eight, ensuring that processes were streamlined and that high standards of quality were consistently achieved to meet the needs of both domestic and international clients.

John’s continued dedication and leadership have made him a valued member of the team. He has played a pivotal role in guiding the department, supporting colleagues, and maintaining Lestercast’s reputation for excellence in inspection and quality assurance.

Directors; Chris Batty, Malc Healey, and General Manager Colin Caine took John and his wife Yvonne, out to lunch to wish him a happy retirement and thank him for all his hard work and dedication throughout the last 19 years.

The whole team at Lestercast would like to wish John a long, happy and healthy retirement.
