Investment Casting – Defence
Lestercast are proud to provide companies from across the defence industry with high quality investment castings. We have supported this industry for many years and have built up a strong relationship with customers across this sector. Lestercast have over 50 years investment casting experience. We are ISO9001 & IATF16949 accredited, and proud members of the cast metals federation producing castings in a wide range of ferrous, non-ferrous metals and superalloys.
Customers in the defence industry regularly ask us to manufacture Aluminium castings due to its lightweight properties, corrosion resistance and high strength. We have been casting Aluminium for many years and have invested in the best technology, refined our processes and through experience, are able to produce high quality, high strength, metal castings for our customers.

The investment casting manufacturing process enables complex parts to be produced at near-net shapes using a variety of steels and specialist alloys. Complex high strength castings can be produced in low volume, with little or no need for machining.
