We are pleased to announce that in recognition of her support and commitment to the business, Petya Velkova, will be stepping up to take on the role of Deputy Team Leader within the Wax Room Department, from 4th November 2024.
Petya has demonstrated leadership qualities within the Wax Room team and to the business, supporting Mina and the rest of the team to achieve efficiency and output within the department.
We would like to congratulate Petya on her new promotion and wish her well in her new role.

Petya Velkova, has worked with us in the Wax Room, at Lestercast, since 2022. Petya previously worked as an injection moulding machine operative, for a company producing product display stands.
When Petya joined us she received intensive training and guidance from her Team leader, Mina Parmar (on wax assembly) and from Hema (who has recently retired) on the wax injection machine. Petya has become a popular part of the team, dedicated to helping us produce the highest quality castings.
WHAT IS YOUR ROLE AT LESTERCAST?
My new role as the Deputy Team Leader, is to support the general operatives, and my Team Leader, ensuring efficiency and Lestercast quality standard is retained within the wax room.
WHAT IS THE MOST EXCITING PART OF YOUR ROLE AT LESTERCAST?
I enjoy working on the wax assembly most of all. Many of the parts we produce are very intricate, and each one is individually & carefully attached to the tree. It is such a delicate process that you get extremely involved in what you are doing – unlike other assembly jobs! Every day is different, due to the variety of parts coming through from many different industries and across the world. It makes it so interesting.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE THE MOST ABOUT WORKING FOR LESTERCAST?
Our team – it is fantastic, we work very well together. The managers are very approachable and supportive. I enjoy the company social nights too!
WHAT DO YOU LIKE DOING IN YOUR SPARE TIME?
I love socialising with friends – I am out most nights. I have a palm tree hobby/business, growing and selling palm trees from my seven greenhouses in my garden.
