The Lestercast team are so delighted to announce that Dennis, our Methods Engineer, has now received confirmation from the Institute of Cast Metals Engineers that he has PASSED his “Level 3 Metal Casting, Foundry and Patternmaking Technicians Course”. The qualification also includes a Specialist Optional Route of Methods Development Technician which was Dennis’s chosen route for his final assessment.

It goes without saying that this is a fantastic achievement and one that Dennis should be very proud of; a huge amount of work has been done by Dennis over the past 4 years, culminating in a submission of his portfolio of work as well as being assessed on both his technical and practical knowledge by an external assessor from within the industry.
Dennis was one of the first students to be enrolled at what was the “new” Elite Centre for Manufacturing Skills back in 2018 and he is now the FIRST STUDENT THAT HAS MANAGED TO COMPLETE THE COURSE AND HAVE HIS WORK ASSESSED AND GRADED.
The team at Lestercast would like to congratulate Dennis on this fantastic achievement, which is a result of his hard work and dedication. He has become a valued member of the Lestercast team achieving so much since joining Lestercast in September 2018.
Dennis received recognition for his achievement at the CMF Casting of the Year Awards Dinner last month, where his success was announced by Dr Pam Murrell FICME from The Cast Metals Federation. It was great to see so many individuals from casting industry congratulate Dennis on this great achievement.
