Another Year of Innovation, Growth & Exceptional Results!
Twelve months ago, we invested in a new 3D Wax Pattern Printer. Our goal was simple: deliver even higher quality, faster lead times and greater flexibility, whilst retaining a low-cost prototyping option for our customers.
What a year it has been!
Over the last 12 months, this incredible piece of technology has helped us produce thousands of high-quality castings, support a huge range of customer projects, and confidently take on larger and more complex work than ever before.
In its first year, our new 3D Wax Pattern Printer has:
š¹ Printed 3,534 individual wax patterns
š¹ Consumed 300kg of wax
š¹ Spent 3,219 hours actively printing
š¹ Operated for 8,293 hours
š¹ Printed an astonishing 1,326,433 layers!
And it has played a key role in delivering projects across a wide range of industries, including:
Defence
Oil & Gas
Motorsport
Art & Restoration
Power Generation
This investment has strengthened our capabilities, expanded what we can offer our customers, and reinforced our commitment to continuous innovation and excellence.
A huge thank you to our fantastic team for maximising the potential of this technology every day, and to our customers for trusting us with their projects. Your support drives everything we do.
Our rapid prototyping casting service allows you to produce functional metal parts in days, not weeks – ideal for design validation, testing, and low-volume production.
Using 3D-printed wax patterns and investment casting, we deliver production-quality components without the cost and delay of hard tooling.
We specialise in rapid casting solutions for buyers who need speed, flexibility, and accuracy, including:
ā
Prototype metal castings (functional parts)
ā
Low-volume production runs
ā
Pre-production validation batches
ā
No requirement for hard tooling.
ā
Design verification components
Whether you need 1 part or a small batch, we provide a fast, scalable solution.
With over 25 years of experience in rapid prototyping, Lestercast was one of the first UK foundries to integrate 3D printing into the investment casting process. Today, our experienced technical team delivers high-precision wax patterns and prototype castings with controlled tolerances, excellent surface finish and short lead times.
