Long Service Award
Yesterday, Craig Townsend enjoyed a celebratory lunch at Rothley Court with the Lestercast management team to mark an incredible milestone — 20 years with Lestercast!
Lestercast Directors Chris Batty and Malc Healey proudly presented Craig with a Long Service Award and a selection of gifts in recognition of his outstanding commitment and contribution to the company.
Craig first joined Lestercast in 2005 as a Trainee Inspector at just 18 years old. Alongside this role, he began working with then – Production Control Manager Colin Caine, helping to develop and refine the company’s production control systems.
In 2007, Craig was promoted to Production Control Assistant, continuing to work closely with Colin in planning and implementing production schedules, as well as managing customer orders. During this time, Craig also completed a range of training and development programmes — including Health & Safety, Team Building, and a Level 5 BTEC Professional Certificate in Management Studies.
Craig’s career continued to progress, with a promotion to Production Control Engineer in 2010, reporting to the General Manager, followed by another step up in 2012 to Production Control Manager — a role he continues to excel in today.
The entire Lestercast team extends their heartfelt congratulations to Craig and thanks him for his dedication, professionalism, and hard work over the past two decades. Here’s to many more successful years ahead!
