As any reputable organisation will agree, being involved in the support of worthwhile causes and charities is only a small part of showing how we can give back to those in need.
This November, Lestercast has chosen to support a local entrepreneur Alex Hopwood, who has taken the initiative to set up a wonderful charity called ‘A Gift to Lift’.
Alex was diagnosed with Leukaemia at the age of 22 and during her treatment received an amazing quality of care and support which made her journey all the more bearable. She has taken the inspiration and created ‘A Gift to Lift’ which through the sales and promotion of homemade accessories provides opportunities for cancer patients of all ages to be supported and ‘lifted’ in the very same way she was – all designed with positivity in mind.
Alex, now 24 has designed and created a variety of products which she is passionate about – from headbands to Christmas tree gifts in the hopes that they will “give anyone the lift they may be in need of” says Alex.
Lestercast are helping to raise money to support the charity and doing just a little to help Alex achieve her goals with A Gift to Lift.
